Wow, wow is the word that describes the last month I have spent here. There has been a lot of death. I believe that we have lost 10-15. I really feel this place is getting to me. On Tuesday we got in only 2 casualties. One named Gonzo. The other a reporter from CBS. She looked the worse. Amazingly in less than a day she has started to get better. I will not go into detail do to opsec but she is one hell of a lady. In the coming days I will describe in detail what she and her beautiful family have done for me. I will maintain all privacy because this is to help me cope and no other reason. I will talk about meeting them, her friends, her parents and the experience that this month and week has been. Also I will not forget M.A.P. his story or the Soldier that gave his purple heart to a new friend. I have a lot to write and I hope you will read it and maybe believe in it. The best part I made many true friends.

Welcome to my site. It is a place really where I can go to clear my chest. If people read this great, if not at least I feel a little better. I decided to start this after I became fed up. With my wife, my surronding and just about everything. If any good comes from this then I will be happy. As far as military OPSEC, nothing in this blog will revealed that could be detrimental to the Military mission. OK there. My first comment on this subject is THE WAR. I am not pro/con this war. I have an opinion but that does not matter, what I do want to say though is that the effects it has on people sucks. From physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. It changes you and most of the time not in a good way. The first way it changes you is that it can maim you or even kill you. That is no joke. Sometimes you just don't come back. The hard part is to actually see and meet these family members that are grieving at the loss of their loved ones. Most people say that it is better to not become attached, but how can you not when you look into the eyes of another Soldier, Airman, Marine, or Sailor. There is no way that you can. They are all family. This week three people, human beings that I became involved with in some fashion perished to injuries incurred in Iraq, two of them 21. Just married and families to start yet, they will not get there. Kinda tough when you have kids of your own and you think one day could it happen to you? Well it does happen every day. Here. Working at this military hospital has made me realize that life is but a brief second and at any minute your clock can stop. Have you done everything you want to? If not start now.
Next time we will talk about hero's. I am in the company of them right now.

Todays rant has to do with customer service. This is a item that I really believe has lost its importance in mainstream America. I recently went to a store where i wanted patiently for 20 minutes while other people were waited on the in front of me, Finally when all other folks were served I was told by the employee that I should have said something. What I should have been rude to get service instead of waiting patiently. What was that? I will continue to focus on bad servce for the next few weeks.
